Belt Vision
Belt Vision is a patented technology originally developed between Carnegie Mellon University and Consol Energy. Belt Vision was developed to provide mine personnel a powerful management tool to review belt splices for potential failure points. The system utilizes high speed line scanning cameras and robust LED lighting to record pictures of splices while the belt is running in full operational mode. This eliminates the need of manually walking the belt line to inspect splices or trying to "watch" a splice as it passes.
